National Health and Fitness Ski Day Wednesday February 26th, 2020 Noon-1 pm
Supreme Court of Canada Lawn
National Health and Fitness Ski Day brings together Parliamentarians with representatives from the cross-country ski sector, and members of the public for an afternoon of skiing on the lawn of the Supreme Court of Canada.
The goal of the event is to promote cross-country skiing as a great form of physical activity and active transportation. It also showcases the possibility of turning schoolyards across Canada into cross-country ski tracks throughout the winter months.
We are very excited that 40 youth from high schools in Fort Coulonge and Maniwaki are skiing from their communities to join us for National Health and Fitness Ski Day. This 4 day adventure is part of a sports leadership program which builds confidence and ability and culminates with their arrival at our event.
The event is organized by National Health and Fitness Initiatives, Nordiq Canada, and Nakkertok Nordic Club.
